Exchange on: China, Russia, the EU and tomorrow´s geopolitics

FES Berlin – together with FES China, FES Russia and FES Central Asia organized an exchange on: China, Russia, the EU and tomorrow´s geopolitics in June in Berlin.

The following five Chinese experts participated in the three days expert program in Berlin:

-REN Libo, director and founder of the Grandview Institution

-MAO Jing, director of European studies & International cooperation, Grandview Institution

-WU Hao, Senior Colonel (Ret), Grandview Institution

-ZHAO Long, Senior Research Fellow Center for Russian & Central Asia Studies, Institute for International Strategic and Security Studies (SIIS)

-ZHANG Xin, Associate Professor at the School of Politics and International Relations, Deputy Director of Center for Russian Studies, East Asia Normal University (EAS)

Apart from two closed door expert workshops, the Chinese experts meet a.o. the following German institutions and experts/representatives in Berlin:

-German foreign office (AA)

-German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP)
The meeting was chaired by ambassador Volker Stanzel, while the following SWP-experts attended among others: Dr. Gudrun Wacker, Dr. Angela Stanzel, Dr. Marco Overhaus, Dr. Johannes Thimm, Dr. Nadine Godehardt as well as Dr. Christian Wirth.

The meeting was chaired by Janel Galvanek, head of department general regional peace support, while the following Berghof-experts attended among others: Theresa Breitmair, as well as Jan Deeg.
